Default Solutions Day 2008

With pigs and lipstick dominating the headlines recently, we're once again reminded of the trivial obsession with negative sound-bites. The challenges facing America are simply too big and too important to be solved within the current political framework.

If you agree our political system is broken, then Solutions Day is the day for you.

On Saturday, September 27, American Solutions will be holding its second annual Solutions Day to have a positive, solutions-oriented dialogue--exactly the opposite of what we're seeing in politics today.

You can participate in this historic event for free by clicking here and hosting or attending an event in your community.

The theme of Solutions Day is "We Have the Power" and will focus on providing citizens with the tools, knowledge, and training needed to transform government at all levels--from school boards and city councils to state legislatures and Congress. The 1.5 million members of the "Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less" movement have proved that citizens do have the power to change the national debate, and on Solutions Day, we will continue to push for bold energy solutions as well as solutions for the economy, education, and health.

If you're in the Atlanta area, I hope you'll join me in person for Solutions Day at the Cobb Galleria Centre. Solutions Day will be also broadcast live on DISH Network #219, DirecTV #577, and Solutions Day 2008, and will feature presentations from leading experts like former Governor Roy Romer, Texas Railroad Commissioner Michael Williams, and former Vice Presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro and NBA star Dominique Wilkins who will represent the Center for Health Transformation.

Watch this short video about Solutions Day and then register to host or attend an event at Solutions Day 2008.

I deeply hope I can count on you this Solutions Day. Your involvement is crucial, and we can't do it without you.

Your friend,

Newt
