Question Multiple Lender Foreclosure

I live in Iowa. I am in the foreclosure stages and have a question...

I have a 1st and 2nd mortgage. The 1st is current and the 2nd is foreclosing. I have been served with a summons and complaint and do not plan on attending. My understanding is they will get a judgment and then I will start a 90 day redemption period.

My question is before the 2nd lender is allowed to sell my property at public auction -- after the redemption period is over, do they have to pay off the 1st lender so at the sale the 2nd lender will have a clear title?

Default

You are a fool for not attending. Why do you want it to default? Why wouldn't you want to try to work something out like selling the house at a private sale?
