Post Can I stop my mom from changing power of attorney?

I would like to know if there is some way I can stop my mom from changing power of attorneys without having her declared incompetent. She understands well enough who has her best interests when you are talking to her, but forgets quickly when the evil one plays her for control. She lives in New York.

Also, what is a conservatorship?

A conservatorship is a legal right given to a person to be responsible for the assets and finances of a person deemed fully or partially incapable of providing these necessities for himself or herself.
